Megan Denise Fox (born May 16, 1986) is an American actress and model . Fox was born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee to Darlene Tonachio, former Roane County , Tennessee Tourism Director, and Franklin Foxx. Fox's father dropped an "x" from his surname. Fox has one older sister. Fox's parents divorced when she was young and she and her sister were raised by her mother and her stepfather. Fox said of her mother and her stepfather that they "were really strict" and Fox said of her childhood that "I was grounded for all of my childhood. Some people say that life is unfair, but then we choose to live the life we want.  I've been into a lot of troubles, maybe since the moment my parents gave birth to me. All I ever knew was, everything will be easy as counting the numbers from 1 to 10 or as easy as memorizing the ABC's. I thought everything would be easy as I grew up. I've learned so many things in life, like I learned to compete with everyone, I learned to communicate and make friends with anybody.
